On a whim, Kristee walked into a pole studio for a free trial class and was quickly hooked - beginning her first pole class in May 2015. After giving up both dance and drama to focus on her university studies, Kristee soon realised that she wanted to find a sport that combined her love of movement with the performance aspect of drama. She passed her first ballet exam, and a few years later gave up dancing to instead pursue drama where she eventually performed, directed and wrote multiple plays. Kristee started dancing at age 4 doing ballet, tap, and jazz. She looks forward to seeing students love and appreciate their bodies for the amazing things that they can do. As an experienced Physiotherapist, Julia's knowledge of body biomechanics, anatomy and sporting injuries will allow her to help students safely improve strength and pole skills all whilst reducing risk of injury. She quickly became inspired by her fellow students and instructors to try all types of pole dancing classes and fell in love with the physical and mental strength she gained from the sport.
